You know, people are funny. They connect their own identity to an object(car, quad, whatever). I am not bashing Yamaha. In fact, I have a Banshee in my garage, and it is great at what it does.
Why is it so hard for you to believe that from the beginning of this Rapter craze, Yamaha has engineered a campaign designed to build excitement for the new machine while glossing over some of its shortcomings? The Mags are all testing these pre-production units and the general concencis is that it is not the fastest. So in what context was Yamaha speaking about when they said it will blow away everything that is out there?
You can tell me to shut up, and I support your right to free speech, but I also have that right, so I will speak my mind. If you choose not to listen, great. Because of your intense reaction to my comments, I have obviously struck a nerve. Don't worry, your new Raptor will be a great machine for you, but as with the DS, you will experience some growing pains.
Also, I have never resorted to foul language and name calling, but if that is the only way you can express your thoughts go for it, I have been through much worse. I suggest you go back and read all the posts in that topic with an open mind, I think you will find I have fun at my expense as well as others.
On a final note, you (and many others) accuse me of 'bashing' the Raptor. It is you sir, because you have money down on one and refuse to acknowledge some of it's potential flaws, who bashes every other quad and anybody with a dissenting opinion. Have a nice day.

It was a full blown Rath Racing/LRD bike, i have already done some mods, so I should be able to get the 426 kit and a cam and be almost where they are. I have a second to give or take a few tenths and STILL be ahead of the Raptor, therefore, not worried......

Actually, you are wrong. One of my friends just sold his 2000 400ex for $4000! He bought it new 6 months ago for $5700 + tax so we will just say $6000 for easy math. He bought a K&N ($50), A front bumper ($100) nerf bars ($200) Renthals ($100) for a grand total of $6500. He sold it for $4000 (lost $2500) and now has to spend at least $2500 more just for a bone stock Raptor. So I see it as he has $6500 + $2500 = $9000 into the Raptor. Do the math, I still have $1000 to spend to kill him or if I bought a new 400ex, I would have $3500 to spend on it because he lost so much on his 400ex and the fact that Raptors will be "sticker sir". So who is the idiot? I will be faster in acceleration, I will be wider, therefore more stable with the +2s and axle AND I will destroy him with the suspension since Honda DOMINATES in that category over Yamaha and I improved it 200% with the Works suspension, so I guess that HE will be financially even with me and will be behind as usual, then if he buys any parts....... As for you, hope you don't lose a lot of money on your quad if you have one, otherwise, buy the Raptor, I will let you spend $2000 on it to try to be even with me. I will have only 5 words to say to you. "Go when you want to!"

Ridzhard said,

Yeah right, the raptor has had you tore up since the moment it was announced. Check our your namecalling at http://forums.atvconnection.com/thre...40&StartRow=81 and I quote you, "Please just go away. You don't have any valuable input and nobody likes you." It's so adult like, I was waiting for a nana nana boo boo somewhere in there, but don't stop there, move on down to where you said, "What an awfully foolish statement to make, you infantile little punk." Yeah, you really do have your moments don't you.

This whole, "my atv is better than yours" is just as foolish as, "my chevy is better than your ford" that you hear some people blowing out their butt. Let's face it, if you buy an ATV from Honda, Yamaha, Bombardier and a few others, you're going to get a good quad more than likely. No, it won't be the be all, do all, perfect quad, but it will hopefully fit each of our needs and wants. Really, if we just wanted to be faster than the next guy, wouldn't we just go buy a dirtbike instead of an atv? It's all about fun, and this constant flaming of each other seems to take that away from some of our fellow posters.

Okay, that's enough soap box for one day. Ride on, ride hard, and have fun if that's what your atv is for.

Hey bash, why quote me out of context? You really should let everybody know what I was responding to there. The coarse language and base personal attacks that individual made against many people caused him to get booted from the forum. Besides, I was in the Bombardier forum and I don't see how anything I said was out of context, or not appropriate. You must have way too much time on your hands to go digging through old posts like that. My suggestion to you is to let it go. Enjoy your Raptor(when it finally gets here) I will just plod along on my less advanced machines, safe in the knowledge that the machine I am on is the best for me. I hope you take this to heart, it is not intended to make you mad. Just to open your mind a little.
