Good Price for a 2002 Honda Foreman es??

I don't know if it's a good price. I would just suggest looking in NADA.com under motorcycles for a price. You could also look in your local paper to seee if there's anything similar. Maybe someone will reply with an answer about that specific price.

Average retail is $4530 and low retail is $3445. He said that he would sell it for $3650. He is very firm on the price. It has 400 miles on it and he says that it's in good condition. He only used it when he went hunting. He was holding it for someone but they couldn't make it to see it. Now i'm next on the list. He bought a 660 grizly is the reson that he's getting rid of it and $3650 is exactly what he owes on it. What do you guys think?

If it's in good shape then it sounds good. The price seems reasonable and it has low miles. I've had mine since Aug. and I have 1200 miles on it.
I hate it when people "save" things for others. Either they want to sell it or not. If someone is there and ready to buy it. Then they should sell it. I've had a few people tell me the same thing over the years. I either missed the purchase or told them to shove it.
If you really want to buy it. Tell him you can't sit around waiting for someone else to get off their butt. Tell him you'll buy it right now. (Don't let him start a bidding war. I can hear him now. Well the other guy will pay the $3650. Would you like to offer me more.) You could tell him that you have to leave on vacation soon. Or You are looking at another quad for sale. So if he wants to sell it then you're interested but you may not be interested later.

Coyotechaser I will agree with you. I hate when People do that to me. If he had a deposit it would be a diffrent story but he didn't. So that price sounds alright to you?

I did a search under KBB.com and they have the retail as $4620. and the Trade in value at $3180.
My guess is that he didn't like the trade in amount. So he figured that he could make a couple hundred more by selling it himself. It's kind of odd that he'd buy another quad while having a loan on the Foreman. (I'm wondering if it could already be paid off.) Would you have to wait for him to get the title back to transfer it? Since he says he owes on it? I try to pick apart things people say while selling an item. There's usually little lies here and there. Some lies are harmless but others can hurt.
Considering the retail prices for it. I think it's a good price. As long as it's in good shape. I also looked in a local classified section. There weren't any 2002 ES's. There is two 2002 S's. The one is in for $3800. OBO and the other is $4000. The one for $3800. might go for around $3600. since it is negotiable but it is a S. I would probably buy it for $3650. if it's in good shape.
Does it have any add-ons or different tires? Just curious. Did you get a chance to ride it? Just make sure everything is working right.

No it doesn't have any add on's. I will have to wait for the title. He works at the bank that he has the loan through. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. I was going today after work but it's 2 hours away. So that kind of sucks. But I never see any foremans in the paper for sale if so they want between 4,200-4,600 for them which I feel is a little high. He said that everything works on it and that it's in good condition.

Make sure he'll sell it to you before you make the long ride. I wonder if you could get everything done in a day. (transfers) I wouldn't leave the money behind without getting it transfered. I usually shy away from deals where you have to wait for the title. Maybe it won't be bad if he can get everything done in one day.
