400ex cam timing PLEASE HELP
Unbolt your cam sprocket from the cam and remove the bolts then unscrew the timing hole cover on your left engine side cover and line up the T on the flywheel with the little line on the cover, you have to look closely with a flashlight but it's there. Next, turn the cam so the lobes are facing down, look at the sprocket and make sure you have the outside of it facing out and you will see three marks, one on each side across from each other and one at the top middle, line up the middle lines that are across from each other parallel with your head (the one on the engine, lol) make sure you have the cam chain on the sproclet while your doing this and you have the chain tensioner off with the cam chain completly stretched out. It's hard to explain but I hope I got my point accross.
