My opinion only, The Law; unless you modify your engine extensively (e.g., bored & stroked, cammed, piped, maybe ported-and-polished), you're not likely to gain anything from a larger carb. In fact, over-carbureting can diminish performance, especially at lower rpm's.

A different type carburetor (e.g., slide vs. CV), such as some of those you mention, can give different throttle response characteristics, but these features would only be justified expense-wise in my opinion by someone in serious racing competion. For a stock bore-and-stroke utility ATV, the OEM carbs, properly jetted, do a pretty good all-around job.

If you're serious about hopping up your Honda 300, Gordon Banks obtained outstanding results on his with a Powroll bore-and-stroke kit.

I have looked into a 400 Bore from Thumper Racing which is a reasonaable price. but id rather jsut have bolt on power, and yes i do have an aggressive cam,pipe,plug,filter,etc,etc...im looking for max power out of the bike to turn my tires....

Right; missed the cam (fell asleep in the middle of that long signature, actually (hehehehehe)).

You could use a couple of millimeters of increased carb bore diameter, I think; but--nothing like the zero to redline gain a Powroll or similar displacement boost would give (the increase on Gordon's Fourtrax is modest; to around 330 cc or something like that, but the performance jump is phenomenal).

Carburetor Parts Warehouse is a good outfit to deal with, if you go the carburetor transplant route; sounds like your ATV is very "sanitary" with all the right stuff; good luck!

i would jet the 32mm out,a bigger carb will help your top end but i think its gonna choke your engine when you bog it down in mud, keep in mind most 500s run a 34mm

well guys, today was the day.
i decided i would call both and whicchever seemed more promising, i would order from.
i called carbparts first, and they had a 32mm TM, 33mm TM with accelerator, and a 36mm TM with accelerator. the accelerators were too expensive($400 range), so i narrowed it down to 32mm TM($250).
i then called racers edge racing.
they sell mikuni also, but rather the lectrons.
they have a 34mm and a 36mm High Velocity. i told the salesman my mods, and he said i can go to the 36mm without a problem.
the lectrons were about 270.

so, upon hearing that and the polices, i oped for the Lectron 36mm on the spot. it will be here tuesday at latest, will let everyone know how it goes!
