I have a Honda Recon, and the only pipes I can find are a DG, and a supertrapp IDS. How much difference these pipes make from stock.

Depending on your type of bike a pipe can make the difference between night and day. So far in your selection though take this much advice DG stands for "Dont Go" or "Dont Get" take your pick. SuperTrapp is pretty darn good though.

I've had a 250SX Honda, 200X Honda, 350X Honda. I've had Supertrapps on ALL of them, along with K&N airfilters. Tremendous difference from stock. The thing I like about Supertrapps is that they are so easily tuned by adding/subtracting discs from the muffler. They are definitely worth the money. You may need to adapt a heat guard for your leg if you replace the header pipe.

Thanks for the advice, I will buy a Supertrapp IDS 2 within a few months. I don't have to worry about a heat shield, the IDS 2 for the recon is a slip on model, and nobody makes a aftermarket head pipe for it. I have also heard that if you take the screw off that you use to purge the exhaust it will help performance. HAs anyone else ever heard of this?

the supertrapp isnt a slip on. you pay somewhere around 229.99 and you get an s-bend pipe, a u shaped pipe, and a silencer.
