I was wanting your opinions on what I should so to my 400ex next, I need new handle bars, nerfs, but Performance, what would be the next step as you can see in my signature you can see what i got. I was maybe thinking 440?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

You could port and polish it

 

400EX has nothing but problems after you bore it over. Don't bore it over.

 

go with a cam.

Do you really need more power? I've heard people have a lot of problems when they do that.

 

redo the whole valve train first:new cam,port and polish,oversized valves,new valve springs etc,and you might want to get you a new header after that for optimum power.Then after that i would bore it.A freind of mine has a 416ex and it will outrun some 440's,but it is also built very good.

 

What kind of Cam would be the best?

 

prolly a Hot Cam stage 2.I also beleive Curtis Spaarks makes a cam for the 400.You can look and see at sparksracing.com
