Default wreck

i was riding earlier with a freind on and we were going to climb a hill on his land that is easy at the first then a steet spot (about 75 degres)then flat then another steep pull to the end and i was coming up the first steep spo and it had been raining alot the past two days so it was slick and when i got to the first steep spot i started to spin so i locked up the front brakes(No back)and pulled in the clutch and just held on for the ride.So i was haulin A$$ backwards and smacked into a tree, slung me off, swung back around, and then smacked into another tree and stopped.I came out of this with a scrape on my arm.My 300ex came out of this with a bent axle.

that sux, i jsut had a friend on a 300ex bend his axle tryin to go down a trail way to tight for his quad. hes pretty dumb tho and thought that he clould buy just the side of the axle that was bent. lol he almost sh@t himself when they told him how much it was gonna be to get a new 1 and put it in. but hes a spoiled brat and his daddy hapily paid for it all. at least u didnt get hurt, it coulda been a lot worse.

that sucks, i hate the feeling when ur going backwards and can't stop. its hard to steer and you know that theres a 50% chance ull crash. i have crashed twice going down hills backwards. i try not to climb steep hills unless its necissary

im gonna just get my step dad take it to work with him and see if he cant get it bent back,if not ill just hit up Ebay. This isnt going to keep me from going up steep hills, thats about all we do when we ride is hit a bunch of steep ones.It could have been alot worse had i stayed on the gas and it flipped.I think part of it has to do with the tires, they were awesome when i fist put em on but now that the tread is getting wore down the just dont bite as good.

yeah but it is one of the only things you can do w/ out back breaks. I know it would be harder w/ a manual atv but that is a good way to gain back some lost control.

Glad you came out of it ok. I love climbing, but what happen to you is my exact fear. I'm pretty leary going up.
I love going down the steep stuff (forward that is) though, that is fun.

Good luck getting the quad back together, ride safe.....
