I just bought an 03 400ex. Plastics are ripped up, headlights are loose and so is the black plastic around the headlights. But the engine runs awesome and there arent any big mechanical problems. The front left rim is bent but the dealer is replacing it for free. The rear tires are nearly bare and I need some of your opinions on what tires to get. The plastics are all really crappy so I'm waitin for christmas and im gettin maier plastics, what plastics do I need to have a full set? Front fender, Rear fender, what else? I'm also lookin for advice on what little mods I can make that are low budget but help. I know K&n filter helps alot, and a vented airbox lid. when you make any changes to the intake (filter, modded air box lid, etc) you need to make sure you rejet. most people put a pipe on.

 

try an exhaust u will be able to feel the difference. try lookin at some mudsharks there made for sport quads and the look sharp too.

 

Which exhaust should i get? I've been looking at several brands. FMF, Sparks, White Bros and a few others. Any suggestions? Also could someone tell me what jet kit and Airbox lid I should get? Also where can I get 400ex plastics cheap. The plastics arent a big thing I bought the quad to ride not to look at, but It would be nice if the atv looked better.

some guy on ebay is selling 400ex maier plastics really cheap on ebay ($75.00) do a search, I see them on there all the time, they're not blems.
