Default nEED INFO ON CARBS 440EX???

Got my 440 ex back a few weeks ago, Im not as happy as I thought I would be.

What does the forum say about a fcr or a Doug EIchner edelbrock carb ) i think thats how you spell it>>>>
Would a bigger carb help out a lot... Is it worth it .....
I have stock sprockets on it right now.. Please post your tech results

Dont get me wrong the machine climbs the dunes like a champion lots solid power..... No bogging out (down Shift)))))

what all do you have done to the motor? what compression? what cam? what jetting?

i have tried fcr carbs before and the power isn't as great as many say. you will gain a lot of throttle response because the throw of the throttle lever is much shorter than stock. overall though, not much of a power increase.

i would lower the mainjet. i would try around a 162 with the airbox lid on or a 165 with the lid off. that should help out and give some more power.
