Your compression seems to be ok, i looked it up and it should be about 156 +/- 14 psi....my old big red had 100 psi and it ran pretty good...so i dont think that is your problem...also you may want to clean out your carb and make sure u have spark, pull the plug out, attach the plug wire back to it, then ground the plug out on the motor, and turn the engine over to see if theres spark G/L

Well I rebuilt the entire engine had some trouble first getting it in time but it does fire for a few seconds then dies i tried spraying starter fluid in it when i pulled the forsaken string it starts to fire every five pulles when i start gasing it up it dies im thinking the electric timeing is outta wack and used the f mark on the flywheel with the point on the crankshaft i could be doing something wrong but just wanted to rule out the compression. maybe i need a new point and condenser because to me its doing the same thing a car does when it has a few fouled spark plugs not sucking any gas in at all it seems to have no effect on it whatsoever anyone else have any ideas? I dont think I have it one wrong stoke ethier when i reverse the timing 180 out the psi drops to 90psi so it must be on the compression stoke thx agian
