I am thinking about starting to race and I would like to know what I would need to do to my 1996 300ex but I still want to trail ride [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Powroll 330, Yoshi pipe, k&n, rejet, lose the airbox lid, outerwear, lose the headlight, and taillight, nerfs, kill switch, a good set of bars and grips, 20" rear tires, and u should be set...

 

you can get every thing you need to race from either powroll ot fourstroke tech including a full exhaist.Powroll uses a white brothers or sipertrapp and aFST uses a white bros also.

 

What about my suspension would I need to anything to that and how much would it be to do all this. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

ill tell you right now you had better not be short on funds to make a race ready 300ex cause its gonna take alot of money and work.Yes you will be needing to upgrade your suspensian.A set of new shocks,wider a-arms and a wider axle will be what you need ,prolly also a new swingarm.What kind of racing are you wanting to do?

 

And were is the best place to get all of this

 

hey man go with fst 330 kit and white bros. exhaust,they have the test of that machine in the newest atv action (july) and the 330ex was running side by side with stock z400's and beating stock 400ex's.That machine is awesome,go check out the magazine.

It will be far cheaper to buy a race ready 400ex than mod the heck out of a begginer trail quad. What class do you want to race in?Age?
