I just got my 440 kit in today. When I ordered it they sid it was a matched and balanced set with an 11:1 compression. My problem is I can get the piston to go into the sleeve. The ID bore of the new sleeve is 89mm and the piston OD is 89mm. How could they fit together if they are the same size? Do I need to send them back or does it need to be bored out? Please help me out. thanks

 

Did you re-sleve your cylinder and bore it to match the piston and rings?

 

i just took it to the shop. i knew that you had to bore the cylinder out for the new sleeve but i didnt think i had to bore the ID of the new 440 kit sleeve.i figured it would be made to except the piston.
