Jeepin is one of my good friends and I was there that day when it died in the lake, but I was across the lake on a rope swing trying to figure out what he was doing because he got off his four-wheeler and I couldn't tell if he was stuck or what, then he started to get it out of the water and jumped back on it and he started throwing a ton of sand, it was pretty sweet, but it sucked because he left me and i had to walk back to his house and it was like a 100 degrees out that day.

Ive had mine up to the seat and it just bogged a little. But if you want to know the reason why your quad is dying, its quite simple. its rapid cooling. when your quad is submerged at the engine it gets to cold and if this starts to happen throw the choke on and it will make a difference!!

i don't believe the rapid cooling thing.

I was riding my trailblazer in the winter.

It was about 34 out. And i was driving over ice...it broke..blew water all over the motor.. steam flew everywhere..my motor never bogged.

And that water was cold...!

LOL jviper.I agree with the rapid cooling thing though. That makes since everything is expanded from being hot and then U go in water every thing gets smaller and the motor dies.I guess that's it.Jviper U should have had your trailblazer with U so U didn't have to walk 4 ever.

I have the same problem when I hit water that is over 18 inches deep. The machine dies. I have heard of the breather hoses on my sportsman 500 haveing that problem. So the hose could be a cause. I have to rule the engine cooling theory completely out though. I live in ohio and I have been in water with an outside temperature of 10 degrees. So I have to rule that one out. It is possible to kill the machine if the exhaust gets to far under. I just did it this weekend, backing into a pond to rinse off my self and the quad. So times when it is cold out it can really be hard to start after it has went for a dive, but she always manages to start within five minutes
