Rubicon Lubrication
#1
The left front of my 2002 Rubicon has a intermittent squeak that comes and goes. Where I ride in Alaska there is a lot of dust and I'm thinking it is a brake noise. Does the Rubicon have any lube points on the front axle, or with just 1,100 miles do the front brakes need maintenance? I don't do alot of riding through water, just alot of mountain trail riding. Any one with a similar situation?

Hmm, don't know if it's of any help.. But my Foreman squeaked too on the left front..
I resolved the problem, it's the space between the CV joint and the Wheel hub that was making this noise..
I've put some WD-40 to see if the squeak would stop, and it stopped....
I don't know for sure what makes this noise, maybe it's the Dust Seal that is rubbing on the joint . . ..
But as I say, I don't know anything about the Rubicon and it's architecture, but I'm convinced it's about the same . .. 8]
...... Also, I remember that the joint was very hot after riding ... Don't seem like a good thing ... maybe the hub nut is too tight . .
Anyways . ..
