Default underwater computer?

i am thinking about buying an 04 foreman but they have that LCD display and computer onboard and im not so comfortable with that computer b/c we ride pretty seriously. The head unit promises to be waterproof but you never know. So i guess the big question is would it be ok to go under water? does anyone know about the reliability of these things?

How often are you really going to have the head unit under the water? If you are going to have it under the water that much you should consider buying a boat instead. LOL just kidding.

Again, which "Foreman" are you refering to??? The Rubicon, 450, or the old 400?

There was a post recently about a guy who washed his Rubicon, got the computer wet, and it went on the blink.

I gotta add however, that although the computer may not be impervious to water while riding, I never had a single problem with water while riding the Rubi and we've been in up to the tops of the fenders.

In the Huevos videos, they are swimming 450's on several occasions.

You would probably have to buy the video (s). They have snorkles, and the bikes are just floating along in deep water.
