Default 400ex Problem

I have posted several topics on this problem with my new 400. I am having a problem with it blowing a blueish whiteish smoke out of the tail pipe. Its under warranty but before i take it back to them i decided to ride it some more to see if it would do it again. Today when i went riding it never smoked from the time i started it till when i did a donut. Then after i did that it started smoking and smoked from then on. The only thing i can think of is that something has not seated properly and when the motor gets hot then its allowing oil to pass by the rings. But im no mechanic, but that's what i believe, and im taking it to the dealer tomorrow. But if anyone has any oponions on this then any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Bryan

In your other post, you didn't answer my question about the oil filer being in the right way. You got it right, right???

reconranger, yes i am sure that the oil filter is in the right way. The filter will only go in one way, with the rubber seal on the filter itself facing outward and that goes againts the cover. But i dont see why that would cause it to smoke. Would that cause it to smoke?

Occasionally somebody puts one in backward. That starves the engine of oil, and the engine is toast. Rings don't last long under those conditions!
