450r vs civic
#24
The 450R will KILL the Civic up to its top speed. Then it will just be a matter of time before the Civic catches up and passes it. I know for a fact that it wouldn't even be close in the 1/8, and I think the 450R should still run a high 15/low 16 1/4 which is still alot faster than a Civic.

isnt the top speed of the 450R like 70mph? I dont think it's going to run no low 15, but I could be wrong.
The civic if properly tuned (have no idea why it has a skunk2 intake manifold and is NA) should run around a mid-low 15.

newbeatle, runs nearly 16 flat on his 750cc Prairie in the 1/4 mile. I would think a 450R should be somewhere close!

a stock civic is going to run about an 18 second 1/4
the 450R might have a chance, because it will WASTE the civic off the line.
I raced my brothers toyota corolla off the line in a 1/4 mile drag on my YFZ. my yfz is piped, jetted, no air box lid, and a cam mod. i tore him a new one up until I topped out...the rolla obviously started coming up on me real hard, but didn't come back fast enough.
btw, a corolla will take a civic if u raced them...but a 150hp civic will probably catch you on your 450r

Thats cool. I always wondered what atv's would run but thought it was pointless because of the lack of top end gearing.
I used to be heavily into fwd Hondas because of the handling and inexspensive cars, but never gave a crap about drag racing. But setting up a car for a road coarse is more exspensive then any atv addiction will ever be.
