Thats a good point, an intake manifold isnt usually first on the list of upgrades on any car/truck project.

Zimraptor I said a well built 440ex. for example a sparks 440 on alcohol. now dont try to tell me that wouldn't EASILY beat a stock 450.

If by "properly tuned" you mean "has a turbo" then you are correct. Otherwise, it's quite a rarity to see a Civic go that fast. He definitely won't run low 15s with just a fartpipe and new air cleaner. Honduh guys are jumping up and down screaming with joy when they break into the 15s at all. lol

The 450R should run mid 9s in the 1/8th mile, while the Civic would probably run a 12 or 13. 3 or foru seconds at the 1/8 is ALOT of *** whipping. I'd like to see this race just to make fun of the Civic driver.

you are forgetting that it has a DOHC 1.8 out of a non vtec Integra and not the original 1.6 SOHC motor. The motor motifications are:
B18A/B
Skunk2 Manifold
Intake
and Catback

A stock 2003 Civic si runs 15.9 in the quarter. And the new civic type r runs considerably faster than that stock. they definitely dont need a turbo toget in to the 15's.

it also depends on the year and trim but it also could of originally have had a 1.5 SOHC. not that its relavant, all of the motors are dirt slow.

I have an integra with the b18a with intake and exhaust i highly doubt a stock 450r could beat me in the quarter mile.

I've seen 99 si's (b16a2) run mid-low 15's stock.

The 1990 Integra RS (130 crank hp) could run low 16's to high 15's and weighs similair to all civics. (258Xlbs) Now, the B18a/b took some cam, intake and exhuast updates in 94 when it became the B18b and jumped to 142hp with comparible torque. add that with some basic bolt on's, i have little to no doubt it would run low 15's.

just a side note after reading some past posts here....i dont know why its such a debate, if i ran a low 15 at the track and had done a motor swap in ANY car, i wouldnt show my face anywhere.
