well the stock 450r has a top speed of about 73 mph or so. if the 450r were to win, it would have to smoke the civic off the line, cuz it will be topped out in 5th while the civic is still accelerating through the finish.

 

civic LX model has about 115 hp..
EX model, has about 127

these cars AREN'T running 15's...the EX will run an 18. ive had one. The si models run 16s..

like I said before...1/8 mile, the quad will kick the civics ***...a 1/4 mile, the quad will rip on the civic until it tops out, then the civic will come back hard, but might not pass it...

The 450 will blow the doors off the civic in the beginning. I bet the 450r will take the civic almost the whole quater mile until the very end then the Civic might be ahead. I raced a 5.0 Mustang against my Stock Raptor and thats how it was and I also raced a Z28 Camaro and I beat it in the 1/8 but then it did get me pretty good.

 

How do you guys think my Stock Raptor will do against a Stock Pontiac Fiero V6. Do you think I could take it in a 1/4 or what?

 

A '01-'05 civic ex manual with do the 1/4 in the low to mid 16s depending on the driver. The auto does it in the 17s. The si hatch will run high 15s just like the 99si does..If this is not the case, it's not the car, it's the driver.

 

I think the ever elusive 100% stock 15 second Civic is like the 100% stock 12 second LS1 Camaro. Somebody did it once, so all Civic/Camaro owners brag about it forever. I'll stick to what I've seen at the dragstrip with my own eyes.

Well, I'm off the track now hoping to break into the 10s on Nittos with my Mustang. My best run on Nittos so far has been 11.21 @ 126 mph. Wish me luck!

I am looking a new civics now and they have as follows


1.3-liter 4 (85+13 hp) hybrid
1.7-liter 4 (115 hp)
1.7-liter 4 (117 hp)
1.7-liter 4 (127 hp)
2.0-liter 4 (160 hp)

 

Acoording to atv sport,they said the yfz 450 does the 1/4 mile in 15.5 seconds on tarmac. There was an old post that had all the Quarter mile times for Quadzilla, Banshee, 250R, LT 250, Tecate from one of the Magazines. The Zilla was low 15's and the Banshee was mid 15's Tecate was right at 16 and the other 250's were 16 and change. So high 15's seems pretty reasonable for a 450R. I would think it would beat the Civic unless the Civic was done up and could get into the 15's.
