Hi i am about to buy a 250x can you give me details about it i think the year is a 1988 i wanted a yamaha raptor 660r but i want to live to see 16 ha ha ha this would be my first bike with a clutch i drrove it yesterday its very prepy better than the rancher 4x4 that i had (well it was my brothers but i drove it more than him) and its very clean it looks like a new a$$ 1988is beautiful its got a candy apple red chassie and a white body the clutch is loose i wan a tight clutch and i think it has a cobra pipe on it is there any performance mods i can get or it? will 300ex stuff work for it because I heard its the same thing will 300ex plastic work for it? and should i wait or get it its in perfect conditon is it compared to the 250r in any way? i know the 250r was a 2 stroke but still?

250X's have got to be one of the best play bikes of all time! We have two of them, and my wifes cousins have 5 in total. They are a great machine. They're plenty peppy for a 250cc four stroke, and they're geared so low that as long as you can keep the motor singing a tune they'll go through any technical hill climb. If it is really in that good of condition thats a reasonable selling price for it. If taken care of they are tanks and practically bullet proof. As a first "sport" quad I think you'll be alot happier(and SAFER) with the 250x. As long as you keep in mind its not a powerhouse it will be all the fun you'll ever need. Now "want" is another story though [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]........
