HELP!!! 400EX Wont start

Did you say it wasn't fireing? Pull the plug, or unplug the plug wire and put a plug in the plug wire. Be sure the plug is grounded and spin the bike over while watching for spark. If you have a good spark then the problem could be timing, fuel or compression. If no spark then check the obvious things first. Kill switch etc. I am not up on your particular machine, but if you get a service manual from some where it should give you some trouble shooting advice.

Since you just installed a cam, there is the possibility something came loose, or the timing chain may have jumbed. Check the engine compression, the cam timing, and the valve adjustment. Also look for a bent valve.
