Thanks ATVING, as if it wasn't ugly enough in this thread before your mindless input.

We all understand the new HO is the most refined piece of equipment to meet the ATV consumer. I mean think of the engineering - a few borrowed parts from the scrambler and you've got yourself the new and improved HO!!!

Seems like you follow me everywhere I go Rancheres you must like my post...get off your high horse the truth is the truth. I guess it is alright for everybody to talk about the fit and finish of the Polaris and other bull things but when I bring up what you get for 6k compared to 7k its mindless, yeah right, its just a discussion get a life.

Last I saw Honda & Polaris were each about 30%
of all sales in the US, worldwide Honda has about 50% Polaris I do not know.

well my brother has a 250x and my dad has a scrambler 400 4x4 i love them both and we havent had a problem with either of them. the scrambler was beat to **** when my dad bought it and we fixed it and havent had a problem since. the scrambler is ALOT heavier but i like it personly more. i love it being automatic and the handeling is AMAZING! i like how the 250x is light but personly dont like how it handles i do however like jumping a 250 pound quad instead of a 500 pund one either way both are nice but i personly like the scambler better....makes me want to get rid of my cr125

I'm not real sure about any of this "mine's bigger than yours is" but two weeks ago I went to an atv pull/rodeo. There were over 150 quads entered in a number of various events events including drag racing, barrel racing( my favorite, just like they do it on the ponys)and pulling contests. The results were as follows: Utility drag was won easily Polaris Explorer 400. The unlimited drag went to a HIGHLY modified Banshee, The pulling contest had a polaris sp 500 in 1st, 2cnd, 3rd and a pair of Magnum 500s placing 4th and 5th. A rubicon came out strong and then dropped off and placed 8th, 6th and 7th place were taken by Grizzlys. The barrel race was won by a 250R with 2cnd place going to a modified scrambler 400 and 3rd going to a 400ex. (I don't remember 4th place winner but I think it was taken by a old Kaw tecate 4) It just goes to show no one manufacturer has a monopoly on everything. Honda makes a fine machine as does Kaw, Yamaha, suzuki and Polaris.I like them all!

Well said Joe just depends on what you desire...I just like the Polaris because of all its features but it does have its down falls sits a little to high sometimes for steep stuff takes getting used to. But at the same time the height keeps you out of the water and mud when crossing. You also need to get used to how a Polaris goes down a hill hehehe but wouldn't take anything for mine...

Kingkodiak-Back to your original question---Whenever a salesman or detailman quotes a statistic as "fact", I always ask for the source. If they say it was somewhere in the printed literature, I ask for a copy. If they can produce it and it is legit, then great. But, if they don't have a defininite, concrete source, then they lose credibility with me. So, always get them to "prove it".
