My oil resevoir broke when i tried to remove the oil drain bolt... what a poor design by honda... liek someone else said before "i could have done a better job with a soddering gun"

anyways, does anyone know an aftermarket oil rez. that is under 200?? What are some advantages of the DG forward mount oil rez.. is it stronger than stock????

I haven't had a problem yet, and I've changed my oil twice so far. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones?

I have changed the oil many times in mine, no problems, no evidence of poor design, please elaborate.

Did someone apply a little more torque than they should have?

You should be able to get another Honda oil cooler for about $145. DG no longer makes theirs????????? I don't know why. I would spend the extra money for the pingry.

Gabe, I know it sounds like people are applying too much torque, but until you see the inside of the tank an the small weld bead holding it on, you couldn't possibly understand. I have never seen Honda build such.

If anyones happens to break try to find a local welding shop. I believe that they can be welded back better than before. The only problem being they are so thin.

Of course it is OK to use the 3 Qt tank on a stock engine, heck the engine wouldn't care if you hooked up a 55 Gallon drum to the system. It's just a holding tank....
