Little off topic, but I was curious. Anybody own a Ruckus moped? I heard they have a little more zap than the metropolitans, and they sure look better. You think the little four-stroke could be tweaked out to run with a 2-stroke elite with a 70cc kit?

I want to get one for my woman, and I've been thinking about the Ruckus, the Yamaha Zuma, and maybe even the elite 80.

Any of you own one of these little bikes?

Thanks for any input!

I would buy a Vino 125. If I was going to buy a scooter.

I was thinking hard about making a pit bike...but I need something street legal.

Coyotechaser, why the Vino125? Just curious if you had any experience with them...thanks!

My wife has wanted a Vino 50 for a while. But the 50 is just too slow for where she'd drive on the road. Then the 125 came out (I think) last year. Which may be alright for where she'd ride it. I'm thinking about surprising her with one for her birthday. I just figure: why go through the trouble with 70cc kit when you can buy one with 125cc? (But still retain the same scooter look.)

Have you ever been to epinions.com? If not, check it out. Just type in whatever model you're interested in. Then see if anyone has left a message about that model from their experiences.

I just realized that you're from Hawaii. Now I'm jealous. If I come to visit, I'm never leaving.

Coyotechaser, thanks for your input, I'll check out the mentioned site to get some more data. BTW, your icon is scaring my kids! j/k! Yeah, Hawaii's pretty decent...I was always jealous of the weather reporters....80 degrees, sunny, 5-15 mph winds.....EVERY DAY! Tough job, eh?

My sister has a friend with a small farm in Hawaii. Actually, I'm not sure which island she lives on. At one time we were searching the real estate listings. Trying to get an idea on how much things cost. I don't know how much longer I can stand the winters here.
