Mr Skull,
Buy a set of Works Triples WITHOUT the cans.[if you don't race] You can find them for @$300. When you are ready to upgrade, send the Works to Todd at TCS and he will do the whole no-load set-up for $400. The reasons I say not to buy the cans are: 1. unless you race you will not make the standard Works fade. 2. when you send the shocks to TCS for upgrades they will not use the Works cans. The TCS cans are about 50% larger. So that would be $$$ down the drain. One word of advice, buy your Works triples from Gene at Shoc Connection. Unlike Works direct, Gene will spring and valve the shock to your specs. Works will tell you they do but the last 2 sets I bought from them were way off. Good Luck.

I have a friend who just some new tcs front shocks. He really seems to like them. They really help on the bigger jumps when you land. They should be just fine for racing mx.

I have a '00 warrior and the best thing I ever bought was a set of ohlin front shocks. They work great for every type of riding.

BTW, how did you do at Loretta Lynns?

If you call Todd at TCS, he is going to tell you that AXIS shocks are the best that you can buy. His shocks are setup the exact same way as AXIS for half the price. TCS uses lower grade components than AXIS, but so do all shock builders because AXIS uses the highest quality stuff around. PEP shocks are good, but unless you are high level rider stay away from PEP ZPS. They are really stiff! I would say the the TCS shocks are about the best thing out right now for the average racer or recreational rider.

Got a set of TCS zero preload with the adjustable ride height on order fron Denton. Send in your 400ex rear, and they will convert it to for $450.These are suppose to be as good or better then PEP ZPS, only they can have them done in 2 weeks rather than lord know how many months from PEP. Ask for jason, they are real easy to get along with and are alot of help. can't wait, will let ya know what I think when my EX is done.

I sent my rear off to CT Racing & Todd on a Monday (via USPS Priority), had it back by Friday (via UPS Next day), can't beat that. Extremely satisfied....

I almost bought a pair of works. Big mistake. They arent a zero-preload shock. They are also supposed to be a lot worse out of the corners than a zero preload shock. Your best bet is TCS ,ZPS, Axis

CT racing will turn all 3 of your stock shocks into TCS 0-preload shocks for less than 800.
