Picture the motor heating up so you can feel it on your leg. The fan hasn't come on yet. I turn the lights on and the fan comes on with the lights. Sometimes turning the lights on just seems to trigger the fan. I've had it happen several times. I'm not too worried about it and it doesn't seem to hurt anything. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?

 

you have a problem with a ground somewhere. if ya cant find it, call the dealer. it shuld not work that way.

 

I've had problems with this on my Rancher (heating up). Though I hardly ever use the lights so I'll have to check that and see if it helps. Thanks.

My fan hardly ever kicks on. Definately not with the lights.
Only time it really comes on is at crawling speeds when I'm really working it hard.
Otherwise, no problems, have only about 800 miles on it.

 

I have a 1998 foremen 450.
No doubt is a great workhrose, and
ya, the fan comes on, but then goes off
about 2 mintues later.
It also has 4,734 hours!!!!!
No problems yet.
