i have a freind that has a 400ex with a white brothers exhaust,k&n filter and jets and when i first got my z i kept it stock for awhile and i race my freind and i beat him..my back wheels was at his front wheels and i was pulling away

 

i dont know why everyone thinks the yfz is "soo much better than the 450R". my friend has a gyt-r yfz 450 and i let him ride my 450R when i just had the HRC kit and he said the 450 R handled a lot better and it was faster, i thought the power was close but the 450R was faster and the yfz's handleing seemed to be more unforgiving and it rode rougher. now my friend wants to sell his yfz and get a 450R. its all just opinion and a lot of it is the rider. both machines are very close though, i hate it when people say retarded things like "DUH i beat a 450R in 3rd gear by 20 quad lengths DER!!!!!" if you beat any quad by 20 lengths in just 3rd gear the other quad probably wasnt even started.

 

budman07, whoever told you that is wrong, a 450R would walk all over a 400EX. the 400EX is probably better on the trails, but otherwise the 450R would dominate a 400EX. some dude on a 400EX with a pipe and paddles wanted to race me at the dunes. I obliterated him. it wasn;t even a race.

how about a 300ex with a full pipe and stage3 jetting....
