Help with tire pressure please
They use very low pressure - my Rancher calls for 3.6 lbs. My Rancher also came it its own guage for measuring from like 0 to 6 lbs. You need to get a guage that has and measures accurately this range of pressure - go to the dealer - don't think they are expensive.

They're right. I didn't think that was right and put like 30 psi in my tires. Ran it for 13 miles and basically ran the tread right off the front tires. Granted, I do alot of "highway" travelling, but I'm kicking myself for not finding this out sooner.
(Bought the ATV on ebay with no manual. Didn't get the manual/CD until the tread was wore off. Oh well, live and learn.)

Most gauges start at 10 psi. As everyone has stated, you need a gauge that starts at 1 psi. I usually run 3.5 psi in my tires. Walmart has a cheap tire gauge that starts at 1 psi. It's not the greatest gauge but it would work. Please don't put 30 psi in your atv tires.
Did you buy the Recon new or used? Side note: When it comes time to change your oil. Don't bother looking for a oil filter. There is none.
