Yeah and this was posted like it was mocking the thread's existence. As if this is a dream quad that won't ever come about.

It's all good. I figure I was gonna catch some grief starting this topic. I just don't make crap up and try to ruffle fellow riders feathers. I'm 38 years old, not some 13 year old dreamer. I'm just relaying some info that I heard.

I will be riding with the individual tomorrow at Little Sahara and I will ask him straight up again. He also said, the mechanic was told it will have reverse. I hope this a production quad. It will only benefit us all.

 

I'll bet money it doesn't have reverse, if it comes out at all.........

 

I think it would be Cool but so far the Raptor is Still the King Of Big Bore quads in more ways than one thats my two cents

 

they'll make it. it has already been mentioned - there supposed to be some new models coming out. i think honda has s few tricks up their sleeve still. they are even very secretive about the 05 400ex -more so then they were about the 450R. if all they changed was colors and emission stuff, then why not put it on the website? why wait till the dealer show? unless they changed it....and want to have some pagentry and reveal it with the new models...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

for liek 6 yrs all we got were utility atv's and only class they havent covered with thtat is the 750cc class....
and now for a couple years its all racing quads....
b/c they just redid all the looks for the utilitys....

 

I really think honda has a huge plan under their sleeves.. Its been MANY years since they have been on top in the racing scene and now they are sponsoring people for quad racing in MX.. I think they will try and dominate every other field. I see them redesigning the 400ex with liquid cooling, better frame and better plastics. I think they will also make a big 650cc quad that will compete with the 660 raptor, and the dS650. Im holding my money off from the 450r till I see what honda comes out with at their september show.

 

There are a few things that could be happening with Honda. Honda is up to something with a few of it's current models. (Rubi, Foreman 450, Recon, 400ex) Honda could be doing something as simple as a face lift. (like the Rancher 350) They could be dropping one or two models. They could be adding one or two models.

Would Honda add a 650R this year along with the changes to the current models? Seems like a lot of changes for Honda. (for one year)
