Towing With a Recon. (need quick replies)
#1
Me and Xr80Rampage are going camping, and I need to know if I can tow a trailer with the little mount thing on the rear diff/brake. Will this do any dammage? I don't have the time or cash to buy a hitch from honda. I might try to get my dad to make me one.

I would not tow anything unless you are using the hitch. I do not know how much the Honda hitch is, but I picked one up for my buddies Recon from Shadetree for about $28. Call them at 1-888-Shadetree. Being you are in Ohio, they will usually have it to you next day. The CMP hitch fits perfectly to the Recon. If you need it today, don't know what to tell you. One could be made pretty easy with a welder, but it would be nice to have one to copy.

I got mine from cabelas.com for I think $20.00, it bolts right to the diff. case on the Recon. I use it to pull my trailer up to the truck for ease of hookup. My trailer is stored at the bottom of a steep hill in my back yard. Don't want to drive my truck down there and mess up the yard. Trailer weighs about 450lbs.

In the Dennis Kirk Catalog there is a picture of a hitch mount thing and its for likw 20 bucks ...i would rather have one made casue all it is is a triangle with a couple of holes in it that bolt onto the differential and axle
