Default Rincon vs. Rubicon

Me and my dad are trying to decide what type of 4x4 fourwheeler to get. Its between a Rincon and a Rubicon. Im pushing for the rincon but my dad wants the rubicon since it can haul more. We want to get a small trailer for it also. What do you think would be better for muddin, plain trail riding, and also towing a trailer. Does the rubicon have independent suspension like the rincon? Thanks Jerry

Default Rincon vs. Rubicon

Hi

Rubiconn is the better machine for hauling a trailer and all low end grunt work. It has a better work tranny as it has low range. The solid rear axle is great for towing because you don't loose ground clearance when a lot of weight is on it. The Rincon is faster and the independent gives it a smoother ride for trails. It only has a three speed tranny and no low end so it is not designed for work. It is truly the trail machine while the Rubiconn is the work machine.

I have had two Rubicons and am now riding a Rincon. I primarily use mine for hunting Colorado in the snowy November season. If all you are going to do is grunt work, get the Rubicon. The Rincon has by far the plusher ride and it will also pull a trailer with quite a load. I have pulled a trailer with two Bull Elk on it for 8 miles in some very tough terrain with mine. This is my experience. Good riding

I beg the differ, I think the rincon is the ultimate utility/sport maching. The rincon will do all the chores, get you where most other fourwheelers cant go and etc. Well that is of course if it has big tires and nice wheels. Slap a winch on it and it will do everything

dont all of the towing capacities say 850 lbs? For my choice, it would be the Rincon. Read different tests of the 2 quads in Dirt Wheels mag, or other good magazines. It is up to you to decide.
