Default Oil Change question

Walmart oil is the same as Quaker state last fall and by looking at the new bottles it could be Exxon/Mobil but I have not researched this.

Car oil has a very different job to do. 1st: increase fuel economy; 2nd: decrease emissions; and down at the bottom of the list: oh, btw, maybe lube the internals a little while it's there.

Recreational motors have a much greater need for top-notch lubrication. That is why oils are designed specifically for them.

Don't use car oil!

Blah. Too much info.

250ex oil-
Suggested oils- Pro Honda GN4 or HP4 (without molybdenum or graphite additives) 4-stroke oil or equivalent motorcycle oil. SAE 10W-40. DO NOT use "energy conserving" oils. Do not use non-detergent, vegetable, or castor based racing oils.

Coyotechaser,

Just one thing less to mess with and do you feel like you ever had any oil related problems with your recon?

With looking at your long posts there I could have changed the recons oil and just so there is less mess jack up the front end of your 250ex or recon and use the rear drain plug.

I didn't try to leave that huge gap. I'm just lucky I guess.
