when i turn off the 400ex ther's a bit of a clunk??is this normal?

its just to say there, it only happens some times but when i turn off the engin it makes a clunk, it sounds like somthing in the engin is stopping real fast is this normal??

Yes it is normal.
I had two 400EX's in the past and they both did this.
(Even my brand new one)
I know the sound you are talkin about and It is normal.
(right at the very last milisecond of engine rotation, you hear a BANG)

my old honda trx 300 use to do it and so does my warrior, just my 4stroke have done it tho, my trilbalzer never did and neither did my blaster but thats cuz their a kick start bike

It's just the starter gears you're hearing. It probably only happens when the engine coasts to a stop and "bounces" off top dead center and spins backward for a bit, catching the starter drive mechanism. Normally the starter spins the engine and then the engine runs away from it. If the engine turns backward quick enough, it grabs the starter.
