ESP stand for "electronic shift program". It is found on Hondas fully automatic bikes (Rancher 400AT, Rubicon, and Rincon. It lets you select a pre-set gearing in the automatic transmission, by shifting electronically, with a button.

It is not the same as ES shifting, on the manual transmissions (like in the Recon, Rancher 350, and Foreman 450 ES models). On these, an electric motor shifts the manual transmission for you, using buttons.

My Rancher 350's ate great bikes!
