Default engine crankcase cover

hey guys, i have anothere problem. i was changing my oil today on my 400 ex and i broke off a bolt that holds the oil filter cap on. and its the long bolt. is there any special way to remove the sidecase cover. i removed all bolts holding it on but the thing wont budge. also there is no lip on the cover, so i cant use anything to pry it loose, or at least i dont think there is. anybody ever taken this off before, if so i need some info. thanks.
