need 200m info.
I will try my best to explain this so that it doesn't sound confusing.
The 200M came out as a 1984 model....The same year that the 200E became a 200ES.
Honda was worried about the shaft drive on the ES actually turning BigRed customers away to a different brand in 1984. Why? Because the MSRP was higher and believe it or not, but the shaft drive on an ATV was a scary thought back then.
So Honda had to somehow keep the old BigRed, but in a different name and still have the tall tires that appealed to the BigRed buyers at the time. [Are 25" tires still considered big??....LOL]
The 200M is nothing but the same chassis used on the '82-'83 200E BigRed, but instead of just using the old chain drive 200E engine with Hi/Lo range, they took the standard 5 speed single range 200 engine and added electric start to it. They took the standard 200 engine.....put it into a redesigned 1983 185S chassis and renamed it the 200S in 1984.
So.....Honda in 1984 took the 185S, 200, and 200E from 1983 and made 3 all new trikes out of them.....200M, 200ES, and 200S.
The 1984 200M and ES have 25" tires and 9" wheels while the 1984 S model has recoil start only, 22" tires and 8" wheels.
If I didn't clarify anything enough as to exactly what information you were looking for, send me a PM and I will be glad to answer any question that you may have about it.
