does any one know of a plastic or titanium skid plate available for the 400ex? I have 2 DG aluminum skid plates and they are junk. They bend on the trail and are really tough to get away from your sprocket or rotor on the trail. I am looking at plastic or titanium for weight concerns. Thanks

Well hello Sacramento riders.nice to see others from this area in here.I personally have the RAD swingarm skid plate made from 6061 alum and is 1/4 inch thick. The alignment holes were slightly off and it doesnt protect the shock linkage so I added another piece of 6061 alum plate accross lower skid rails. This thing has yet to be bent.I have hit boulders at appx 35mph that have popped rear end up a good foot and no probs. One tough SOB.Also hear good things about Armidillo skid plate from ROcky Mtn,also 1/4 thick.

I have the Armadillo on my 400; I ride mostly in gravel pits and other rocky trail places. It's tough as nails, and the price isn't bad (~$70 from Rocky Mountain ATV).
