PIMP250r,
I agree with you that there are some very stupid laws out there that make little or no sense at all.And I also agree with you that the ''big picture'' should allways be looked at when making any law.The fact of the matter is that often, some of the people that actually have the responsability of making some of are laws, actually have very little information about the product they are proposing a law for. This is especailly true when we are refering to ATVs.
Thats another reason why we ATVers need to do the right thing on our ATVs.Because it would'nt take very much persuasion from a tree-hugger thats talking to the lawmakers, about making some BAD laws for our sport.

Actually DarkMan I say you're right. We aren't going to find common ground on this unless we go back and forth for hours and hours
and hours and went through every single little detail about what's going on and found common ground on it. I know I don't feel like
doing that, and you guy's probably don't either. See, I was wrong. I shouldn't have gotten into this conversation in the first place. I should go with everyone else in the public who want our voices heard about choices that have been made, laws been made and other stuff. It would benifit more people there than here anyways. Honestly guy's, my personal view on these kinds of things are from a different stand point. I think laws such as these shouldn't be made until it's thoroughly examined and looked at and talked about with
several people. I mean, if you run into a problem like safety for example when making these choices, I think it would be better to go
more into the problem and see what good you can bring out of it as much as possible before a choice is made.

Muddy4life a disgrace? Heck no. If eveyone was like him atvs would have a lot more places to ride, and less laws restricting them. Its b/c of you dumba$$ punks that we have all the laws we have and why cops hassle us.
The people who run are obviously people who have nothing to lose, punk kids or adults who have just never grown up. If you guys had things to lose, family, jobs, etc.... then maybe you would rethink your decisions. For you punk kids, I bet you parents would love to have to come scrape you off the road b/c you decided to run from the cops.
Answer me one question, please. Do you think that you running from the cops helps or hurts people idea's of atvs? Thats it, just answer me that.

I completely agree with you there muddy4life, I just don't think it's fair that we ATVers can sometimes get the bad side of the law
when something can be worked out if more effort was put into it. I didn't want to make anyone made by posting on this thread,
but like I said before I just would like people who make ATV laws would look more thoroughly into these things. Like if safety was
a concern, personally, I'd love to see something be made up where some sort of a safety kit could be made so we could ride on some roads. Like a standard for gear to wear, something PROVEN though something that works really really good. Like if BFE helmets
had something about it's design that made it safer than the others, it design should be made standard. That way it wouldn't matter
what brand of helmet or gear you bought, you'd have awesome protection anyways.

most laws are not made to save lifes there in place to get your money plain and simple how do you think the goverment makes its money?,example if they really only cared about lifes why not lower the speed limit to 5mphs make it so a car can do no more than 5mphs how many deaths would we have then?but how can you make money on that?when it comes down to it,its all about money

yup//// i'm with you!!!! any cop who chases someone on an atv Is just trying to make "brownie" points by getting a county or satae money via fines.... i am in the U.S. militaryy... SSGT for the USAF... been with em 12 years.... i normally dont break the law... BUT IF SOME IDIOT LAW GUY WANTS TO bust me for riding an ATV.... i got news for him.... catch me if you can... and if you do....i guess i'd rather pay a few bucks for a lawyer than.... take the fine.............. anyway point being, any respectible law enforcement officer will wave to you ratherthan put on the lights..... unfortunatly theres alot of rookie ******** out there... SO BE SAFE
