I finally got home from the hospital 2 hours ago. I had a lot of small fractures in my back, but nothing serious, a cut in my liver, and my spleen was swelling. I didn't have to get surgery so they left me in bed for 6 days and I couldn't do anything.It all started on Saturday at 3:30 when I went riding with 2 of my cousins and a friend. I was on the old ATC 200 and i went down over a hill, hit an unseen rut, went over the bars and hit the ground and it landed on me. I was concious all the tie and I went to the hospital and was taken to a bigger one by helicopter. But now I'm feeling better and I'm back.

 

Wow! I hate to hear about any type of atving accident. Hope you heal quick...come back faster and safer.

 

OUCH! Sure hope you get well soon RedRooster. I too hat to hear of anyone getting hurt, but especially doing something as fun as offroading. Take care.

Glad to hear you are all right Mr. Rooster. Hope you are throwin' dirt around ASAP.

 

Hey man, hate to hear your luck. Last monday I was playin on my new 250r and had the same thing happen to me only from +5ft in the air off a jump. I am very glad that all I got out of it was a swolen and scuffed up leg and busted helmet. From the sound of it, I could have been much worse off.

This really puts the old three wheeler design into perspective. Mr. Rooster probably would of stood a better chance on four wheels. I've driven the three wheelers, the only place I ever felt safe riding one was in our parking lot.

 

Thanks for the well wishes. Nothing is really wrong with me I just ache and am resting a lot.I will probably only miss the first week of school and that is only 4 days. And the only thing wrong with the ATC is a bent back rack. Hondas are tough and I will never ride anything else even if it is the slowest thing ever built.(By the way the little TRX125 is on the fritz so hoping to get that pretty new Recon in the window)
