ok i was riding my 400ex for a little one day then i turned it off and parked it. the next day i started it up and got in trouble becuase it was to early. the next day i go to start it and it won't fire it truns over but will not run it is getting gas but i also thought it might be the spark plug. the bad news is i can;t get to it with the tools i have. i have the right size socket but teh walls are to thick to fit into the dumb place where honda put the spark plug can anyone else think of a reason why it won't start besides teh plug?

Also, pull the seat off and go over each of the connections around the battery. There is one wire that if loose, the quad will turn over but will not start.
Even though you can't get the plug out now, put another plug into the boot and make sure you are getting spark.
I know your frustration. I recently went through something similar - one day it ran fine for a 4 hour ride and the next it wouldn't start. I ended up taking all the plastic off, etc. and power washing it so I could take it to the dealer. I think it is better to take to them in the form so they have clear, clean access to everything.
After I went through all this work and was getting ready to load into the truck, I decided to recheck all the wiring connections. One of the plugs next to the battery felt like it snapped together tighter. The darn thing started and has been out on 2 three hour rides without a problem.
