alright I was going to stay out of this but I have to totally disagree with the no way you could pull a wheelie at 65 thing on a 416ex EASILY. I clocked 66 out with a gps on my 400...but we'll say 60-62 just for good measure/inaccurate readings. Now that was with no motor mods...everything else besides, but with a 416 it'd be more than possible. It was 5th tapped, and I could honestly care less if you believe me, I don't know (the majority) of you personally, no need to impress. Just saying it could be done.

you would have to do so much engine work to get a 400ex to do 100mph. shave the fenders front and back, bore it out to 416 or 440 or more, ram air. definatly ram air. the faster you go, the more hp it will take to get there. also get the durable 2 inch drop for quads. that will help you in stibility. you also say that with gearing changes a stock rappy will do 90 mph. dont forget that the rappy has 10-12 more hp than your ex

I am not wanting to put alot of money into this project because, it is money that I can use to purchase a new quad. My spending limit is around $100 and most of it will go to chain and sprockets. I am just wanting see how close I can get to 100mph. I do not plan to go 100, it would be nice tho. I think that it is possible to hit something in the 90's. I am not getting a lowering kit or anything like that. I am going in a straight line on an airport runway.
As for some people not believing that I can easily pull a wheelie doing 65. I plan on having my friend video tape me in his mustang doing 65 with me beside him and pulling a wheelie. Then I will upload it to someone that has an ftp site on this forum.
Instead of saying that it can not be done, why don't some of you people say what you think the 400 will tap out at?

I just have a small sugestion before you try this.....lol..make sure your life and health insurance are up to date.Or do like i did i put mine on a sheet of ice back in the winter and seen how fast it would go...lol..You should really think about getting some beadlock wheels, cause at 65 my tires where looking mighty skinny and strechy...hope it goes well for ya,no kiding around i hope nobody gets hurt.As of for me i don't care to much for going that fast on something that small.......

I have a 16 tooth in front and 38 in rear.. I am not sure if I gained much speed, from it.
GOOD LUCK, and let us know how it turns out.

lol, last night me and a few friends went riding, one of them wanted to drag my on my 400ex against his pred (both stock), as soon as he starts going, i put it in 1st gear, pin it, and mustve accidentally pulled back, cause next thing i know i fell right into my a$$, i beat him the first 5 feet...lost for the next 500 or so.
