Default 400EX going around 100 mph?

Hello, I was thinking about seeing if i can get my 400EX to go around 100 mph on pavement. After reading about stock DS650's and Raptor's doing mid 90's with nothing but changing the sprockets, I thought, I wonder if the 400 could pull off something like that. As it sits my quad can run 78mph next to a car, so I think the actual speed might be around 75 or so. My 400 can easily pull a wheelie doing 65 and it feels like it could pull 2 or 3 more gears. So my question is can I gear my 400 to do around 100mph? I think it might hit mid 90's which is fine with me, it is just an experiment and will probably end up being fun. I was thinking if I went with a 420 or so motorcycle chain and a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket with a 36 or 34 rear sprocket that it might happen along with stock 22inch 300 ex tires. According to the gearing calculator at 9100 rpm, assuming I can hit the rev limiter in 5th gear with a 17 tooth front sprocket and a 36 tooth rear sprocket along with 22inch tires I should be able to hit 99.53 mph. Where is a good place to get cheap lightweight sprockets?

I know it is not safe or whatever but, I will do it anyways and it will be done on an airport runway. I will see if I can get a police officer to clock my speed. So it will be done in a semi-controlled environment.

Does anyone think that this can be done? Any guesses on what the 400 might top out at? I'm thinking 94 mph if I can get this done.

you need to keep in mind that the tires you are running arent made to operate at the speed on pavement. they could easily pop or malfunction in other ways that would cause the quad to out of control.

I am aware of that and it is a risk that I am willing to take.

i have an aluminum rear 36 tooth rear sprocket if your interested. it is a renthal too, so it is good. i don't have much time on it at all. it is much much lighter than stock and of course it isn't bent or dinged up. i paid $60 for it at a dealer but i would for sure let it go for a lot less than that. i paid so much because i went thru a dealer, it is a renthal and it is aluminum. send me a private message if your interested. thanks cal

Dumba$$. Dont come crying to us when you are laid up in the hospital. Alltoys will tell you about crashing at 98 mph on an atv.

And no, you wont get a 400ex to do it without a heck of a lot of modifications. There isnt enough power.

And the gearing calculator is theoretical. It doesnt account for road or air drag, rider weight, etc.
