seeing as a 400ex is taped out at 65.. i dont think you could get the front end up starting at that speed.. plus once the front came up you slow down because of the wind.

Put it on the back of my F250 and I will get going on the freeway....that is the only way u r gonna do it.
This is exactly what I was thinking. But more importantly, why not get a streetbike that was made to go 100MPH plus and ride that? Then, when you realize that if you let go of the handle bars, the drag will suck you of the back in an instant, ask yourself:

"Why mess up an entirely good quad to do what a $6000 motorcycle will do stock?"

Heck, my completely stock Katana will pull 135MPH in about 10 heartbeats, give or take a couple. There is NO WAY I would want to make something not designed for that speed to go that fast. Runway, a cop with a radar gun, or not. My bike, however, doesn't come alive until after 80MPH.

P.S. I agree that wind shear and drag will prevent a 400EX from going 100MPH. Some guy took a stock Honda CBR1000 motorcycle and made this funky bullet-shaped fairing for the front and back of the bike so it was more aerodynamic. He only gained 25MPH or so on the top speed, but that is because the horsepower required to overcome drag is a geometric relationship the faster one goes. The relationship is not linear, or so the beanwienies say...

redneckmxer must be his buttbuddy, it is physics man, ur raptor isn't going to pull a wheelie at 65 neither. That is just being ignorant.

And BTW, motox said it wouldn't do a wheelie at 65, not in general, learn how to read.

Ohhh, you got me, I can't do a wheelie on my 440, oh no that hurt. I guess since I can't pull a wheelie, I better get on the internet and tell people I can pull a wheelie at 65mph. LOL

BTW, so we arer clear, I bet a wheelie can be done at 65 if you pulled it up around 30mph, I have probably came close. But probably no quad on these forums has the grunt to do that with the exception of a rare few. My 440 is pretty da*n torqy (spelling?) and it definately won't pull one in 5th gear without some major assistance from me.

you don't pull the quad up in fifth gear (though you can), most of the time you pull it up, in third/fourth then shift through. Once you get to the balance point you don't even need torque...I'll admit it takes some skill...but isn't beyond many people.
