K&N Filters
#1
I read the 50 plus responses to a recent post regarding K&N filters. There is one item that no one mentioned. If you remove the air box lid you do not have to risk water and mud entering the air box. I personally run a K&N with outerwear and also run an outerwear where the lid used to be and where the snorkel used to be. I ride in sand, mud, water, and dust and have no problems. I also change my filter after EVERY ride. Make sure you buy the outerwear that is water resistant.

I replace the filter with a clean K&N after every ride. I have a total of four filters to rotate so the oil is always dry. By the way, the reason I replaced the stock plastic snorkel tube is water would enter through it when going through deep creeks. Since having outerwears make a custom cover that is water repellant where the intake used to be and for the airbox lid I have solved my problem
