Default gluey substance in tank

I have a 1998 honda forman es and i was out riding the other day and it started to spit and sputter like it was out of gas so i turned it on reserve and it died. we pulled back home with my buddy atv and we looked in th tank and it was like liquid glue in the botom. it will run fo about 30 seconds then it will die like it is out of gas. So i went and picked up a new fuel filter and that didnt help. it still does the same thing. I even cleaned the tank and the line before i put the new filter in. Could that white junk got into my carb? or what else could it be.

Please help!

pull the carb
remove the bowl
be sure that you dont have that gunk clogging anything (jets, pilot jet, so on)

maybe before you do all that,,,,try loosening the overflow screw on the bottom of the carb bowl. If the carb is getting fuel,,,it will start to run out of the overflow tube.

I agree...pull the float bowl and check for gunk in there. If its in the float bowl, then its probably in the carb passages.
