Hi folks, I'm getting ready to buy a Rubicon, however i have some lighting troubles, maybe some of you have experienced. Seems the large light on top will not light at all, and i forget if the lowbeams(lower lights-both) or the highbeams light either. Bike has only 100 miles on it, and has been garage kept for awhile. PS...... headlight switch was turned "on", like i said, both lower lights in one mode are ok(high beam i believe) but switch the hi-low swith and BOTH lights go out. Upper large large does not work at all. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

 

Youll probably need a wiring diagram, to get to the bottom of it. Id start with the switch ( high /low switch), and ohm check it. Look for disconnected wires while youre at it.

 

Try replacing the headlight bulbs. I had a Honda Recon that had a headlight burn out. I went to get new bulbs and I was unknowingly given the wrong ones. I installed them and the lows worked but the highs didn't. I took them back out and realized that they were the wrong bulbs.
