In washington they start at 3000 for a real beater and go up to 6000 for a real clean showroom condition no scrathes absolutly mint 88 or 89 but you need to be the first one there to get those because they go real fast.

 

i just bought a clean 87 250r for 2600 and theres a 88 down the road from me for sale and the guy only wants 3000 for it and it is super clean

 

In Indiana, you can't touch a 250R that isn't beat into the ground under $3000. Average for one that has been well taken car of is $3500 - $5000. You can find raced ones with aftermarkets for about same price.

 

I paid 3200.00 for clean (looking) 87 a year ago. Since then we had to go through the whole motor and I put a new case half in on the oil plug side.
The clown that had it overtightened the drain plug and cracked the case. Then permatexted the bolt so it wouldn't leak. I don't care I still love it. Wouldn't trade for no Raptor

 

Maybe its just me and Ohio but u cant find them here that are nice for undder $4000 even for a 86

 

My brother in law has an 1988 or 89, I guarantee you could get for $4000. It is sweet, all new BLACK (Earnhardt fan, what can ya do) meier plastic. Holeshots and nerf bars, other than that basically stock. It rips.
