Every shootout I've read in the past says that the Warrior has a higher top speed, due to the six speed tranny and a couple more ccs, but handling and reliability goes to the 300EX. The Honda should be faster in tight trails.

I've had a lot of riding buddies that ride both quads, and no one complains. The 300EX is pretty much bullet proof. We've had to wrench on the Warriors a couple times. Nothing major, mostly due to lack of maintenance.

I have owned both. I rode a Warrior for years, and was never so happy as the day when I sold it! They handle heavy, and the ergonomics aren't great.

The 300EX is maybe the best trail bike of all time. But, it is medium size, and might be cramped for a large rider. The bike has quick and agile handling, and descent suspension. A little down on power, but the engine mods up nicely.

two of my friends have piped 300ex's and man are those thigns fun. another of my friend has a stock warrior and weve had numerous races. the 300ex pulls lowend and midrange hard but the warrior always has topend because of the extra 6th gear. id def get a 300ex over a warrior in a heartbeat. why not just go for a 400ex? kills a warrior.

Top speed- Warrior
Handling- 300ex
reliability- Both

Both are great for trails,so you'll be happy with either.

I have busted out some big air on the EX! It's a good jumper, and easy to handle in the air. The Warrior jumps too, but it has that heavy feel, like you are a passenger not the pilot.

warrior vs 400ex
brand new for both they cost the same (04 and earlier)
the 400ex has 50 more cc's
honda reliability
if you want something fun to mess around on, the 300 is good, but if you want to beat a warrior/raptor350 in handling and top end, go for a 400

The EX300 is lighter, better handling, better mx and much better reliable machine the the warrior.
The warrior got many problems with the cdi box but its still much faster then the honda...
If i was u i would pick the honda and make it faster (pipe, jetting, air filter... ).

just be ware !! both machines will make u--------->> ATV ADDICT!!!
