Default Questions about 450r carb

Hey guys.........I was wondering some specs on the 450r carb. First off, what brand/make is the carb? Next, what is the stock jetting(both main and pilot)? How big of a carb is it(mm)?? Has there been any problems with it? How is it for response, response over rough terrian, etc? Thanks

Brad

Default Questions about 450r carb

Keihin 42mm butterfly, very smooth carb, very consistant throttle response.
I sold mine to a guy who installed it on his Predator (Mikuni 42BSR cv carb) and he said it was night and day. Is that what you are thinking?

A lot of racers keep the stock carb. Should tell you something.........

Throtle response is excellent, and it doesn't flood or bog in the rough.

Default Questions about 450r carb

Yes I am thinking of putting it on my pred.......I am pretty sure it is better than mine now, and not as good as the ones I could get(fcr, lectron) but I can't really afford them either. I think I can get a 450r carb at about 165 bucks, and a throttle cable of some kind too........

KGB...........The guy I know said the same thing, he is from Texas though.........
