having trouble installing a magura jack hydro lever on my 88 trx250r, how would you adjust freeplay? if the adjuster nut goes on the right side of cable holder the nut and adjuster are worthless why have them threaded, and i cant find any way that is would be adjustable, but it stated in instruction 2-4mm freeplay, i have about 8mm? the instrucing suck, and it doesnt seem to be any easier to pull, anybody have any sugg.
thanks

I think the 2-4mm is at the end at the motor side and not the lever side. Maybe I misread, but the lever is self adjust besides the little red one that you can adjust for how far your lever sticks out. I am not sure if that answered your question.

My fault I did mis read.
You do have the nut and the thread thing (looks like allthread with a slot down the hole thing for the cable) with the nut on the right side. IS there another for the other side. too. My 400 had two. It also had something that went into the slot holder onthe motor that the nut went against and the threader. Confusing with out looking at my bike. SOrry dont know if this hleped.

thanks, my trouble was with the mouting of the clutch cylinder. i talked with magura today they said, the bolt with slit in center goes there cable holder from the left and the nut goes on the right and tightens down to hold in place, so its right but as for adjustment you have to use washers or shims between the bolt with slit and cable bracket. i think it would be better to have a small jam nuts on both sides for adjustment, but he also said once i start bike and engage disengage it should self adjust? sounds way cool hope it works!!!! also he said to remove the clutch arm return spring i did not read that exactly in the book but i was having trouble with the directions anyways.
good thing the guys at magura are very helpfull because the directions are not.
how do you like your hydro setup?
